Lessons Learned: What it Means to be a Fellow in America's Top Shelters

Capitol D and E

Lisa Ward of Maddie's Fund is joined by Maddie's Executive Leadership Fellows to reflect on their experiences learning in the most lifesaving shelters in the country. What is next for these young leaders, as they imagine stepping into a shelter director's role?

Adopt a Donor Management System sponsored by Little Green Light

Capitol F-H

When APA! adopted a good donor management system, fundraising went way up while the need for staffing to handle donations went way down. Come learn how a donor management system can help you get the resources you need to save more lives. This session is for groups or shelters that do not yet have a donor management system (or one that they like). It covers when it's appropriate to get a donor management system, how to choose one to fit your needs, and the many ways it can work for you to raise more funding. The talk with Maggie Lynch will include a demonstration of the system used by Austin Pets Alive!, but will be generally applicable to all donor management systems.
