Maddie's Leadership Fellow at Pima Animal Care Center

Monica Dangler is a Maddie's Fund Executive Leadership Fellow at Pima Animal Care Center (PACC). She is spending 12 months studying under Executive Leadership to learn the nuances of leading within a government agency. Pima Animal Care Center is the leading municipal animal shelter in innovative, progressive, lifesaving leadership.

Prior to PACC, she worked at Austin Pets Alive! (APA!)for 4 years as the Volunteer Manager, managing a robust volunteer program of 3,000 active volunteers. She managed the emergency volunteer effort during Hurricane Harvey in 2017, utilizing an additional 40,000 volunteer hours over the 4 week period that followed.

She enjoys working in a fast paced environment where innovation and collaboration is the norm. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking, spending time with her dogs and cat, and traveling.
