Donya Satriale

Maddie's Executive Leadership Fellow, Charleston Animal Society

Donya Satriale is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of animal welfare experience. She has held various positions in shelters along the East Coast and is currently serving as the Maddie’s Fund Executive Leader Fellow at Charleston Animal Society in Charleston, SC.


Her career has included working in many of the facets of animal welfare in both open and limited-admission shelter as well as high volume Spay and Neuter Clinics. Coupled with her professional experience, Donya has also expanded her knowledge of the shelter industry by obtaining a certification in Shelter Management from the University of the Pacific. She believes in doing everything that she can to be an effective advocate for animals and their wellbeing. She is passionate about helping to develop and manage strategies that further the goals, image, and effectiveness to benefit the industry.


When not working Donya enjoys keeping active, traveling and the great outdoors. She is an active volunteer in both the senior and youth communities. A devoted and loving mother to an exceptional child who is currently pursuing degrees in Animal Behavior and Environmental Conservation.
